When Mark watched the news, he couldn’t look away.
Scenes of families fleeing Ukraine with only the clothes on their backs — scared, hungry, uncertain of what came next — stayed with him. He felt powerless. But then he learned that $10 could provide food for a refugee family.

The problem was heartbreaking — and urgent.
Since the invasion, millions of Ukrainian refugees have poured into neighboring countries like Moldova, often with nothing. They needed shelter. They needed comfort. But most of all, they needed food.

That’s when Mark found CWS.
CWS partners with local organizations to meet refugees where they are — offering food, mental health care, education, employment and more. And they had a simple way for people like Mark to help: just $10 could provide a meal for someone who hadn’t eaten in days.

So Mark took action.
He gave $10. It seemed small, but it was enough to fill a stomach and offer dignity to someone who had lost almost everything.

Because of Mark, someone will eat tonight.
A mother. A child. A father reunited with family. For that moment, they’ll feel human again — seen, cared for and nourished.
