CWS has a long relationship with the Sphere project, a common set of international standards used in disaster response. Both set a strong mandate for appropriate standards in providing humanitarian assistance, and specifically prohibit proselytizing.
Samuel Kanubo never imagined five chickens could transform his life. Struggling to feed his family and send his children to school, the weight of his challenges felt overwhelming. But everything changed when CWS’ chicken farming program arrived in his small rural village of Mwanga.
This life-changing program didn’t just bring chickens—it brought hope. With training, support and community, Samuel’s life transformed. “Before the project, we had a lot of challenges,” he shared. “The farming program got us out of famine.” Thanks to the chickens, his income has increased, and he can proudly send his children to school, giving them a brighter future.
