In a moment of crisis, Mrs. Amna, a 32-year-old pregnant mother to three young daughters—ages 7, 4, and just 9 months—faced an unimaginable choice.

As war erupted in Sudan, she fled with her children, leaving behind her husband, who had been arrested by the Sudanese military.

With only the bare necessities, she embarked on a journey filled with uncertainty and fear for her family’s future.

Through the CWS supported program, StARS, Mrs. Amna received food boxes to provide critical nutrition for her children and improve the family’s overall health.

Food boxes contain non-perishable food supplies and essential hygiene items, including soap, toothpaste and sanitary pads for people like Mrs. Amna.
