Sheep may be soft and gentle, but Sara knew they could make a powerful difference. When she chose to give through CWS—Church World Service—she selected a $70 sheep donation that could bring lasting change to families in need.

Around the world, many families face daily challenges without reliable sources of warmth, nourishment, or income. Without steady support, it can be difficult to move beyond survival and toward stability.

Sara recognized this challenge and found a simple, practical solution through Church World Service: sheep. With the right resources, families can begin building a more secure future for themselves.

Because of Sara’s $70 gift to CWS, families now receive cozy wool for warmth, nourishing dairy for healthy meals, and a sustainable way to earn income. Sheep provide a soft yet steady source of support—one that lasts season after season.

Sara’s decision set meaningful action in motion. Her kindness became a plan—one that replaces uncertainty with opportunity and equips families with the tools they need to move forward.

Thanks to Sara and her generosity through Church World Service, families are experiencing warmth, comfort, and new beginnings. What started as a thoughtful $70 donation is now the foundation for hope, dignity, and lasting change.

Church World Service is a global faith-based organization transforming communities around the world through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. Since 1946, CWS has been an organization that deeply believes there is enough in this world for everyone. Born out of a desire to help the most vulnerable after World War II, we formed local partnerships to ensure people everywhere had healthy food and water, a safe place to call home and the ability to fulfill their purpose.

For nearly 80 years, our mission and approach remain the same—transforming lives in more than 65 countries with underserved communities across the globe.
